Mountain Bike Frame Size Guide

When choosing a mountain bike frame size, height is only a reference. For individuals taller than 180cm, it's recommended to personally test ride an 18- to 21-inch frame, as the frame size may differ between those under 160cm and those over 180cm, even with the same wheel diameter.

Everyone's body proportions are different, including torso length, leg length, and arm length. Therefore, after selecting a frame size based on height, you'll need to fine-tune the seat, handlebars, or stem position to achieve the optimal riding posture and comfort.

Additionally, some frames use metric sizes or XS, S, M, L, etc., which roughly correspond to the following height ranges:
XS: 156 - 165cm
S: 166 - 175cm
M: 176 - 185cm
L: 186cm and above

Test riding is a crucial step when choosing a mountain bike frame size. A test ride allows you to directly assess whether the frame fits well and whether you can comfortably handle the bike. If possible, try riding several different frame sizes to find the one that suits you best. Also, consider your individual riding needs and preferences, such as whether you prioritize agility or stability.
